Treatment requirements for the elimination of plant and animal pests and disease-causing organisms in the final product cover the different treatments that can be applied during production or as a post-production process in order to eliminate plant and animal pests or disease-causing organisms in the final product. These include:
- Cold or heat treatment;
- Irradiation;
- Fumigation; and
- Treatment for elimination of plant and animal pests and disease-causing organisms in the final product that are not specified elsewhere.
