4.4.3.1.3 Safeguard quantitative restrictions
Safeguard measures may be applied in the form of quantitative restrictions on imports of a particular product to prevent or remedy serious injury from increased imports (as established pursuant to an investigation) and to facilitate adjustment. In this case, rules apply regarding the overall level and the allocation of the quota.
