4.2.1 Prohibitions or restrictions of imports for TBT reasons
Prohibitions or restrictions for TBT reasons may be established for reasons related, inter alia, to national security requirements, the prevention of deceptive practices, the protection of human health or safety, animal or plant life or health, or the environment. Prohibitions or restrictions of imports for TBT reasons include:
- Prohibition for TBT reasons;
- Authorization requirement for TBT reasons;
- Registration requirement for importers for TBT reasons; and
- Prohibitions or restrictions of imports for TBT reasons not elsewhere specified.
