6 Procedures and documentary requirements

This ATR topic intends to provide information on trade-related procedural and documentary requirements that are imposed in each ASEAN Member State in connection with the importation and exportation of goods. In particular, this section covers measures concerning customs formalities, such as:

  • Consular formalities;
  • Documentary requirements relating to the importation, exportation, transit and transhipment of goods;
  • Licensing
  • Pre-shipment inspections and other formalities;
  • Analysis and inspection procedures;
  • Quarantine, sanitation, and fumigation;
  • Special customs regimes; and
